How I work
Four steps, and you can stop after any of them. The first three are free and you run them yourself.
You bring the estate: a solution, a folder of projects, or a whole repository. Nothing leaves your machine and nothing is uploaded.
MigrationScan reads the project files and the source, applies 33 rules across 8 categories, and prices both portability stances from the one pass.
One JSON file, plus a Markdown report an engineering manager can forward. Every finding carries a confidence tier, an effort band and a location.
If the number needs defending, I resolve the unknowns the scanner left open and turn the report into a scoped proposal with explicit exclusions.

I've been writing .NET software for 25 years. Most of that time in-house at companies or on contract, building the kinds of systems that businesses depend on day to day.
In May 2026, I went out on my own as MW Consulting. I work with CTOs and engineering managers who need a senior hand without a full-time hire, and with business owners who have outgrown their current systems and need someone who can translate the business problem into the right technical solution.
MW Consulting is a member of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program and a CSP Indirect Reseller, so Microsoft licensing can run through me alongside the engineering work.
